Is there a Croatian honey that we can call perfect?
Guided by this idea, we explored every corner of Croatia to find the ideal micro-locations for the production of each type of honey. We concluded that if you're looking for acacia honey, you should head to Bilogora, and if you're looking for chestnut honey, the place to go is Kordun and Banija.
Each of the types of honey we found was excellent in flavor, but we were still left wondering, can it be called the best of the best? That's why we used the knowledge and experience gained over 40 years of honey production to define what Mediterra truly is.
Each jar of Mediterra comes from strictly selected beekeepers and undergoes rigorous laboratory analyses to define all parameters – from the percentage of pollen, moisture content, conductivity, enzymes, minerals, to other criteria defined by our quality standards.
Only then, when we have laboratory-confirmed results, do we select honey for Mediterra. Ensuring the product is perfect, we carefully fill the honey into jars without filtering or heating, allowing it to make its way to your taste buds.
And it is precisely because of our rigorous processes and commitment to perfection that we can bring Mediterra to your table – the best of Croatian honey.
