In a quiet part of the small town of Vrbovo Posavsko, near the Sava River, Antun Varžak established an apiary with around 30 beehives. His love for bees was passed down to his son Boris, marking the beginning of a story about premium honey. The number of hives quickly grew to over 500.

Back in 1994, with the establishment of the “VARŽAK” company, our honey products officially entered the market for the first time. Registering the business marked the beginning of our formal production, yet it remained deeply rooted in the tradition and principles that had guided us all along.

With the arrival of the new millennium, we began constructing our first production facility in Vrbovo Posavsko, located in city of Zagreb, right next to the Sava River. The launch of this facility marked the start of our larger-scale production and the expansion of our network of partner beekeepers.

For the first time, we expanded beyond national borders and began collaborating with international partners. Through our export partners, our "Classic" line made its way onto the shelves of major retail chains across Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.

Thanks to the expansion of our production capacities and the addition of new equipment and machinery, we broadened our product range and entered the HoReCa market with specialized HoReCa packaging." />

A major recognition arrives at the XIII Honey Quality Evaluation in Osijek, where we win the "Silver Spoon" award for our acacia honey. This marks the beginning of the recognition of our quality and high production standards, which we have continuously improved ever since.

At the beginning of 2017, we made a significant investment and expanded our production capacity by equipping our facility with a new advanced production line.

This year marked significant milestones in the further development of our business. We introduced the premium "Mediterra" line, which officially entered production. That same year, our linden honey was awarded the prestigious platinum medal at the London Honey Awards.

We received a major and significant recognition from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, which awarded the "Mediterra" product line the Croatian Quality seal. At the same time, we launched a new product line, "Good Vibe," celebrating the dance of bees, without which honey wouldn't exist.

We continue to increase production capacity and carry out a key investment in the construction and expansion of our production facility, a development of great importance for our company.
